Properties of Earth Materials

  • Water is an earth material that has unique properties that change when it is a solid, liquid or gas
  • Water, which covers most of the Earth’s surface, moves through the earth, oceans and atmosphere in the water cycle
  • Soils have properties of color and texture and the capacity to retain water
  • Earth materials (including water), provide many of the resources humans us

Changes in Earth and Sky

  • Water is responsible for some of the slow and rapid changes on the surface of the Earth

Inquiry Skills
