Plant Growth and Development

Lesson 15: Interpreting Graphs (to be done within Grow Days 17 - 35)

Lesson Summary

Students have been gathering height data to put on graphs and using that information to make predictions and statements about the plant’s growth pattern.  This lesson allows the children more practice with interpreting and analyzing data presented in graphs.

Teacher Background

This lesson could be set up for further practice with graphs and/or assessment of the their understanding of graphs, depending on group needs.

Set-up/Management Tips

  1. Students could also gather and use real classroom data to create graphs to analyze.
