Investigation 4: Sound Challenges, Part 2: Choosing Your Own Investigation

Lesson Summary

Students use what they have learned about sound as a starting point for further inquiry into sound. They may choose to conduct investigations or demonstrations using materials, or they may choose to do library research. They present projects to the rest of the class.

Students are to apply what they have learned throughout the sound unit in this lesson. 

Set-up/Management Tips

  1. Plan for individuals or teams to work together.
  2. Narrow down choices if time is an issue.
  3. Plan a trip to the computer lab for research.
  4. Have parent volunteers help facilitate small groups.
  5. Make a project ideas sheet.
