Teacher Background In this lesson, students find out there are different ways to initiate spinning motion.  They will discover that the motion of an object can be changed with a pushing or pulling force. Set-up/Management Tips You will need 30-40 minutes to teach this lesson. Before class it works well to put enough materials in a plastic bag to enable each student in a group to make a Zoomer.  Each student will need one red disk and a piece of string about 100 cm long. You will need to model how to make a Zoomer and how to start the spinning motion of the Zoomer for students. Before class have chart paper ready for recording content chart items.
