Will receive training to provide hearing screening in area school districts and will work with amplification equipment.  Must provide own transportation to some schools for technician services, with Agency mileage reimbursement included, and will drive or ride in mobile hearing van for screening services. Coralville Center/Autism

Full-time, 40 hours/week year round position working out of our Coralville center. Will work with young children (birth to age 3) who may be on the autism spectrum, using various research-supported strategies. Highly individualized services are provided in home, preschool and/or day care settings. Travel to be in the Grant Wood seven county area with mileage reimbursement. Requires two years post-high school training in a social science or education related field and work experience in a classroom setting. Starting rate of pay:$12.83 - $13.91 per hour.

Clerk - VAST Science Center

Temporary, seasonal position for summer and critical times throughout school year. Will work with packaging and assembly of science kits in the VAST science center.  Limited to 500 work hours per year.  Work hours primarily projected for Nov 1-Dec 15, Feb 20-Apr 1 and May 1-Aug 30. Requires high school diploma. Rate of pay: $8.50 per hour.



   

SUBSTITUTE

 

Substitute Paraeducators (Job ID 1321) for off-site classrooms in Iowa City and Cedar Rapids area. You would work as a member of a teacher/paraeducator team with great support from colleagues. Hours are generally from 8:00 – 3:30 and the rate of pay is $12.58 per hour.  Requires 2 years of post high school training in a social science or education related field and experience in a classroom setting. Individuals who meet the minimum qualifications of the job and satisfactory background check, will be entered into the Substitute Employment Management Systems (SEMS). You will be contacted by SEMS for sub para work the morning the work is available.
