Job Summary:

Provides technical and secretarial support to the Technology Center to ensure the efficient operation of the assigned department(s).

Qualifications:

  1. High school graduate
  2. One year of clerical experience
  3. Proven skills with business office equipment related to the position
  4. Working knowledge of Windows

Essential Functions:

  1. Monitors the application of staff use of Agency technology hardware and software as a liaison among Agency and program staff piloting proposed advancements, recording and analyzing concerns, and communicating concerns and/or recommendations to the Technology Center Coordinator.
  2. Prepares and maintains proper and adequate Technology Center records for the Agency’s Universal Service Fund/E-Rates, training, and equipment maintenance in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
  3. Assists with the communication, organization and implementation of the staff technology center services.
  4. Maintains computerized database of hardware and software inventories.
  5. Trains staff on required software.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Participates in projects, committees or activities to support the mission of the department and Agency.
  2. Participates in staff development and professional growth activities.
  3. Initiates and maintains appropriate communication with staff.
  4. Provides additional support to the Technology Center as needed, including general filing and distribution of secretarial support.
  5. Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

  4. Strong technical skills in the area of Windows-based software and business machines.

  7. Ability to process, categorize and file information in accordance with Agency procedures.
  8. Ability to accurately interpret and handle information in a confidential manner.
  9. Ability and willingness to be flexible and responsive to changing needs of clients and Agency.
  10. Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and correspondence, and apply appropriate mathematical concepts.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Normal, routine levels of bending, carrying, lifting, climbing, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.
  2. Sufficient manual dexterity to be able to operate office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, fax machines, copy machines, typewriters, and telephones.
