Job Summary:
Directs and oversees the daily operations involved in the circulation of materials and assists with client needs.

Qualifications:

  1. High school graduate.
  2. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word or other word processing program.
  3. Previous experience with computers.
  4. Previous experience in a team setting.

Essential Functions:

  1. Facilitates daily operations of staff.
  2. Monitors and coordinates the reservation and distribution of materials.
  3. Supports the program and its functions including the automated circulation system and its components by attending team meetings, being familiar with operations of the system, and providing leadership to team members.
  4. Responds to telephone calls and questions from staff and public.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Works with supervisor in matters concerning operations of the program.
  2. Orders materials and supplies.
  3. Develops and maintains proper and adequate records and documentation in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
  4. Participates in projects, committees or activities to support the mission of the program, unit and Agency.
  5. Participates in staff development and professional growth activities.
  6. Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

  1. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships.
  2. Ability to function effectively as a team member.
  3. Good knowledge of general office practice and business English.
  4. Ability to convey a positive and professional image to staff and public.
  5. Ability to process, categorize and file information in accordance with Agency procedures.
  6. Ability to handle information in a confidential manner.
  7. Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and correspondence, and apply appropriate mathematical concepts.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Normal, routine levels of bending, climbing, reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.
  2. Ability to lift and carry maximum of 50 pounds.
  3. Sufficient manual dexterity to be able to operate office equipment needed to complete responsibilities including, but not limited to, computers, fax machines, copy machines, typewriters, telephones.
