Mail/Receiving Clerk

Job Summary:
Maintains an efficient mail and receiving operation.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate
Essential Functions:
- Processes outgoing/incoming U.S. mail as required by the
U.S. Postal Service.
- Delivers and picks up interoffice mail.
- Processes outgoing and incoming parcel deliveries in accordance
with established procedures.
- Develops and maintains proper and adequate records and documentation
in accordance with Agency policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participates in projects, committees or activities to support
the mission of the department, unit and Agency.
- Participates in staff development and professional growth
activities.
- Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

Physical Requirements:
- Normal, routine levels of bending, carrying, lifting, climbing,
reaching, sitting, standing and walking.
- Ability to lift and carry minimum of 35 pounds.
- Sufficient manual dexterity to be able to operate equipment
needed to complete responsibilities including, but not limited
to, postage scale, postage machine, calculator, telephone, copy
machine, typewriter.
