New courses - If you would like your course listed in the Linker, the Professional Development Office must receive your electronic course proposal and scheduling form by the following dates:
Fall Semester (Oct-Dec) submit by June 1
Winter Semester (Jan-Feb) submit by September 1
Spring Semester (Mar-May) submit by November 1
Summer Semester (Jun-Aug) submit by February 1
For courses not listed in the Linker, but posted on the web, or for on-site courses (offered in conjunction with a building/district for credit) the Professional Development Office must receive your electronic course proposal and scheduling form six weeks prior to the start of the course. This allows sufficient time for proposal review, modifications, if necessary, and approval. Course proposals must be updated every 5 years.
Previously offered courses For those courses that have been offered in the past 5 years, a scheduling form must be submitted according to the above schedule for Linker distribution or four weeks prior to the start of the course for those with web only publication or on-site courses.
Course proposal template, directions for completion, instructor vita template and scheduling form can be found on the Grant Wood AEA web. These forms may be modified during the year so be sure and check the web for the correct forms. Proposals should be sent or emailed to
Sherry Sines (ssines@aea10.k12.ia.us) and Tammy Carolan (tcarolan@aea10.k12.ia.us).
Note that the spring schedule includes a preview of summer courses by including summer courses that were submitted early. If you want your summer course published twice submit it for the spring deadline.
