Using Wraparound for Students with Emotional/Behavioral Challenges
Wraparound is a process for improving outcomes for youth with significant emotional and behavioral needs and their families. This involves building collaborative teams with individual students, their families, and teachers to build supports across home, school, and community settings. Natural supports are combined with proactive interventions and creative use of services from community agencies. This workshop will a) provide descriptions and examples of the wraparound concept and process as applied in communities and schools and b) describe the skill sets used to design and implement effective family-centered, wraparound teams and plans.
