Grant Wood AEA celebrates School Board Recognition Week, May 8-13, 2011

Volunteer school board members serve thousands of hours each year working to ensure every Iowa student receives a solid education. School Board Recognition Week, May 8-13, 2011, is an opportunity to say thanks to the more than 2,000 men and women who govern Iowa's public education system. This year's theme, "School Boards - Making a World of Difference," recognizes that locally elected school board members are providing leadership, through responsibilities ranging from strong financial stewardship to ensuring high-quality curriculum so all students have a bright, vibrant future ahead of them.
