Registration deadline extended for Computer Exploration

Cedar Rapids...The registration deadline has been extended to Tuesday, May 20, for the 2008 Computer Exploration.

Students entering kindergarten through eighth grades have the opportunity to participate in a weeklong Computer Exploration offered by Grant Wood Area Education Agency.

Computer Exploration is an introduction to computer graphics. Students will learn how to create computer graphics for use at school and at home.  Various software programs may include Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Kid Pix, and the iLife Suite series, which includes iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, and iDVD.

Computer Exploration sessions will be offered June 16-20, June 23-27, and July 7-11. Classes will be offered at Grant Wood AEA, 4401 Sixth St. S.W., in Cedar Rapids, Viola Gibson Elementary, 6101 Gibson Dr. NE, Cedar Rapids or Prairie Crest Elementary, 401 76^th Ave SW, Cedar Rapids.
