IV. A vision statement is a statement which will spell out what direction you wish your district to take regarding technology. It should answer the question When all of the goals of this plan have been achieved, where will your district, staff, and students be in relationship to the integration of technology across the district?
In preparation for the development of your vision statement, you should review the goals of your Comprehensive School Improvement Plan. Keep in mind that technology should play a key role in the realization of these goals.
One piece of advice on your vision statement . . . keep it short! One paragraph is plenty.
Below are a few links and a few examples to help get you a start towards developing your own vision statement.
Samples
- Students, staff and community members, working as partners, will use the latest technologies to introduce, produce, communicate and facilitate the learning process.
