DIRECTIONS for SUMMARIZING YOUR INTEREST INVENTORY RESULTS

Continue using Summary Pages 1-4 to do the following activities. The result will be a listing of Career Pathways and Careers for you to explore further.

Summary Page 1: Look at column one, Occupational Clusters. Translate these to the Iowa Career Pathways by using the list below to decide which Iowa Pathway an Occupational Cluster might fit. Record the Iowa Career Pathways in column two.

Summary Page 3: Look at the top box, Holland Types. Highlight or circle the ones that have a star by them or appear more than once. Match your top Holland Types with the Identify the Career Pathways that Match Your Holland Types lists to identify the Iowa Career Pathways that may be best for you to explore. Record each pathway to the list in the right hand column (Iowa Career Pathways) of Summary Sheet 1.

Summary Page 1: In the bottom left box write the name of each Iowa Career Pathway on your "Iowa Career Pathways" list at the top right of the page. Your list in the bottom left box should only list any Career Pathway one time. Count the number of times each Career Pathway is on your list, writing that number in the bottom right hand box.

Summary Page 4: Write the Career Pathways that appeared most often on Summary Page One (bottom of the page) on Summary Page 4.

Next, match each Career from Summary Page 2 with the Iowa Career Pathway you recorded on Summary Page 4. Write each career in the box below the name of the Career Pathway in which it belongs. If you aren't sure which Career Pathway a career belongs, you can look at lists of careers that belong in each pathway:
