RIVER STORIES FROM NORTH CEDAR MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS
My River Story
My favorite stream is in Massachusetts. The water is clear but cold. The rocks are
in the perfect spot to walk on . There are frogs, craw dads, and minnows. Down stearm
is a tree that dammed the stearm 6 feet deep. Some rocks made a perfect under water
seat. I sat in it and minnows nibbeld at my leg. In the summer it's realy relaxing.
This is why it's my favorite stream.
My River Story
One day I went to Indiana to stay for a week. The first day we went boating in the
Corydon River . When we got there . There was a big and steep ramp for the boat.
We finnaly got in the water and i was the first to get on the tube. I lasted about
twenty min. then it was my brothers tern to go. He eventuly fell off as soon as he got on.
BOB
My River Story
I found my turtle Bob in my farm pond in Illinois about 3 years ago. I let him back
in to the pond but whenever I went down to the pond he was on the shore waiting for
me. When he heard one sound, like rustling grass,he came up to the edge.
I don't know what he ate so we cracked a hole in the pond to eat. The water was cold
and he came back out. He was shivering cold when he came out.
One thing he hated was our cats. they thought that he was a play toy. Bob died this
fall. I think he died because he did not eat.I buried him at the stream when we went
on a stream study.

My River Story
I was fishing in the river for catfish. After I got bord I stoped fishing I went
for a walk along the river. I seen birds, deer, rabbits and a squrrial along the bank
of the river.
When I went back to fish some more I saw a blueherin in the river. Then I was fishing
along the bank again and all of a sudden a catfish took the bait and it was good
eating. Then two days later I went back and fished for about an hour.
The End
My River Story
I went canoeing up by Cedar Rapids. It was very fun we also went paddle boating. When
we went it was pretty warm out so my mom said that I could take off my my shoes and
socks, and stick my feet in the water ,it was very cold.We went uphill for about 5
miles then came back downstream. My sister and I paddled all the way up and my parents
paddled down , the wind also changed so it blew both ways. Then when we went paddle
boating my sister and I paddled up and my parents paddled down, the paddle boats
are a whole lot slower than the canoes. You have to worka lot harder than the coneos, you
see you use your hands to paddle coneos and your feet to paddle the paddle boats.
My sister saw a snake in the water and she also had her feet in the water as soon
as she seen that , she took her feet out of the water.
