RFP for Video Streaming Bundle

The Grant Wood Area Education Agency is seeking bids for a hardware and software bundle to allow us to enable our Internet website to provide video streaming for live and archived multimedia. The bundle must enable us to serve 100 to 200 simultaneous connections with authentication functionality (password protection and logins).

Along with the bundle described above, the vendor should include an adequate training package in the bid.

The successful vendor must be prepared to split the billing process. The vendor will be required to invoice the Schools and Libraries Division (SLD) of the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) for the discount portion of each bill, and to invoice the individual entities for the non-discount portion of each bill.


All quotations must include the following items, or an equivalent bundle suitable to provide the capabilities described above:

1) Commerce 100 or 200 - A/V Bundle Std
2) Commerce 100 or 200 - A/V
3) Annual U & S
4) Osprey 100 Video Capture Card
5) RealProducer Plus
6) RealPresenter
7) Appropriate server hardware
8) Other necessary hardware to create and/or develop multimedia content for the system

Monday, January 10, 2000.

The following Board policies apply to the bidding process for Grant Wood AEA, and will be taken into consideration when determining award of contract:

The Agency shall purchase goods or services from vendors located in Area 10 unless the interests of the Agency are better served by purchasing from vendors located outside of the Area.

The Agency will attempt each year to purchase at least 10% of its goods and services, including construction, but not including utilities, from certified targeted small businesses located within Area 10.
